Undercover Lovers hits the mark~

Kyle and Ross were dynamic together in RJ Scott’s newest Bodyguarsd Inc., Undercover Lovers.

Receiving a call from a long-time friend and professional ally, Kyle goes into action—all the other bodyguards are on assignment—and takes PA Ross as his compatriot. They are to ‘watch’ and American scientist who have been targeted. The assignment wouldn’t be so difficult if Ross was an agent and not the organizations OCD coordinator or even better if Kyle wasn’t in love with the younger man.

Ms. Scott quickly catapulted us into a world of intrigue and tension as Kyle and Ross danced around their undercover married status, putting on lovey-dovey airs while staying close to their mark Paul, aka Marcus. Both men are frustrated as each one wants their relationship to take a different turn yet both fearful of the repercussions.

I loved the dynamics between Kyle and Ross. They have a friendship based on work and admiration which makes their jobs run flawlessly. Ms. Scott’s portrayal of Kyle—the big, bad stoic owner of Bodyguards, Inc.—yet the gentle giant who delivered a sensual dance with Ross when the two men finally succumbed to their passions.

As always in an RJ Scott series, the characters are an integral part of each other’s stories and she never forgets to add the small nuances which make us laugh or swoon. No spoilers, (but Ross gets Adam back).

Sensual and sexy, RJ Scott delivers another winner in the Bodyguards Inc. series. Undercover Lovers hit the mark.

By far, this is my favorite Bodyguards Inc book. Ross and Kyle together has been something we've been waiting for since the very first book. Ms. Scott definitely didn't disappoint,

Kyle is desperately in love with Ross. He's convinced that the ten or more years he has on Ross make him father material instead of lover material in Ross' eyes. He's spent the last three books pining away pitifully for his youthful assistant, breaking the heart of every reader that has ever picked up a Bodyguard's Inc book. But Ms. Scott throws a wonderful twist in this book, for the first time, we get to see thing from Ross' perspective, and instantly we see what Kyle can't, that Ross is just as attracted to him, living in the misery of his own creation as well.

There are suspenseful elements to this book, but the truth is, the real story, is the discovery of love between two people who failed to see what was waiting right in front of them all along.

Excellent read!

Well worth the wait!

This is the LONG awaited story of Kyle and Ross. We have seen them, in previous books, tease, argue and snip at each other and we knew, we KNEW something else was going on between these two, even if neither realized the other had feelings for them. Finally, we got to see and feel how they felt about each other, watch as it grew and see the end result. It was amazing to read! As always I enjoyed seeing others from previous books and meeting new people. This was well worth the wait and I for one have only one problem with this book, as I seem to with all Ms. Scott's books and it is this....they end! Why can't they just go on and on? Seriously though , this was a wonderful story, one that I will re read over and over again as I look forward to the next book R.J. Scott is working on for us.

“A Must Read”

I can’t believe that I read this three book series two times in one week. Jonathan Quincy Graves FLR books always have interesting stories. This series provides a gradual movement with each book leading to a great adventure. The story shows a husband and wife in love with mutual respect for each other while still employing FLR basics. It also points out how important discipline and obedience are required in the FLR family business not simply for the dominant female pleasures. Yes, there is extensive discipline (spankings) and some humiliation but it seems more real life then other FLR books I have read.
I hope this series continues. I would like to see John continue his education under the rigid guidance of Mandy and Sue. Perhaps his studies include computer science with a little computer hacking to help the family business. Also, I would like to see how the relationship between Cheryl and Kathy change with John as Cheryl’s husband.
I read these three books with Kindle Unlimited but am considering purchasing so I can read them once again, especially if the series continues. I enjoy reading books where I already know the characters.

A great book for the curious young child

This is a really accessible early learning book about plants. I really like how it focuses on what a plant actually is, the parts of a plant with comparison to the parts of a person and the essential things a plant needs to grow and be healthy. The book is a good length for bedtime and the pictures are really excellent. You really can't go wrong with this reasonably priced book to introduce a young person to plants and plant biology.

Great book for easy learning. We bought this to go with a seed kit for our homeschool plant science lessons. It was a good addition. Nice pictures and easy to understand for my 8 year old.

Great little informative paperback for kids. I bought it for a four year old boy who loves to help 'garden' with me. She likes the pictures and my interpretation of them more than what is written in this book. Its a little hard for her to grasp this one. When I read it as written she loses interest quite fast. So I make it up as we go. I gave five stars because it is a good purchase and all kids are different. The pictures are wonderful

About the Author
John Ridley is the Malcolm McCallum Chair of Economic Geology at Colorado State University where he has taught ore deposit geology and field geology for the past seven years. His earlier academic positions spanned three other continents, with positions at universities in Australia, Switzerland and Zimbabwe, and over his career he has taught courses in geochemistry, petrology and structural geology. Professor Ridley has published over seventy articles in refereed journals and books, in addition to geological maps and reports for companies and groups within the mining and minerals industries.

Very well executed

A clear and concise up-to-date explanation of ore types and geochemical formation processes. The author carefully organizes and summarizes information without delving too far into poorly-supported alternatives, yet does not fail to mention secondary factors that may play a role. The result is a text full of relevant, organized information, and very little of the tedium that crops up somewhere in most texts. Professor Ridley also eschews informative geochemical diagrams like those showing stability of iron and manganese sulfides, oxides, and carbonates, which might be considered a fault; but these diagrams require a lot of expert interpretation and a grasp of relevance to actual contexts so the author provides the interpretation instead. Even the descriptions and maps of actual deposits around the world appear to have been carefully filtered to best exemplify the processes (rather than simply using the most thoroughly studied locations).

Outstanding text on Ore Formations.

This is a very comprehensive book on ore formations. The sections on hydrothermal processes is exceptional and exhaustive. While well written, to fully gain the knowledge contained, it has to read several times. There is a lot of information presented which takes a bit of effort to absorb. This is a must read for anyone trying to understand the genesis and morphology of economic minerals.

DraftSight is a very useful free drafting software program but I found the literature that accompanies it is difficult to use. This book nicely fills the need for a lucid description of the capabilities of DraftSight.

Good enough.

Good enough for practice. No one knows the content of the SAT math perfectly, there is just not enough public information about the new test despite what the College Board says.

Barron's does not disappoint. It is not perfect, but it covers enough material to get you thoroughly prepared. As a prep coach who has used Barron's for my own test prep, I like their content. What is best for prep is old released tests ("QAS"), but of course there are no released SAT for the 2016 version. I am looking forward to seeing a few tests for myself.

With the exception of the the error I showed in the picture attached to this review, I really like this book. It isn't as wordy and overwhelming as Kaplan's, and it walks you through problems. I like how they don't provide info in large, chunky paragraphs that lose me at times; this book tends to be very straightforward.

BEST D/s M/M Book ever written

If you have never read a Zoey Derrick book, I suggest you start. Start at the beginning, and Aryn will be right here waiting for you to catch up.

As a fan of Zoey's writing, and herself, I knew what to expect. A lot of sex, romance, and steamy scenes that make you all hot and bothered. Hence: Read one handed. I didn't expect to read Aryn's Desire, and getting blown away. Now let me say this to you. If you are someone who thinks that male on male action, is gross, nasty, and distasteful, I suggest you pick up Aryn's Desire, or any of the 69 Bottle's series, Defining US is a good one also; and read. Zoey knows how to make a scene in a book erotic, pleasurable, hot, steamy, and most of all you can picture yourself in the book, and with the characters of the story. That to me is a GREAT BOOK, and a very talented Author.

Aryn "Beck" Becker, bodyguard for BOLD INTERNATIONAL. If you are a avid reader of 69 Bottles like myself, you know him as Beck. What you don't know is that his love life or lack of, has been giving him s***, since NYC with 69 Bottles. (Taming Dex Book 4).
Being bored with the bar floozies, Aryn is in a slump, and heads to Dex & Raine's house. Dex, his best friend, and his wife Raine let Aryn on a little secret about their life.
While Aryn has no clue about that lifestyle, It's something he wants to try.

While in complete shock, Aryn thinks maybe that lifestyle is just what he needs. He needs a submissive. But as you go on Aryns' journey of learning about who he is, and what he desires, he comes across Derek and Cotah, (1 week 365 days, through out 69 Bottles Series). Derek introduces Beck into the D/s lifestyle. Beck knows he wants to be a Dom, but everyone else sees him differently.

While meeting people from that lifestyle at Derek's party, Aryn comes face to face with Caden Mathews. Caden a Master, is shocked to feel what he feels when he meets Aryn. As the journey continues, you get everything , and while I'm not going to go into details, let me tell you, that reading this book, will change the way you think of two men together.
After watching a scene play out at the Box, Aryn's desires are surfacing, and he doesn't know how to take it.

The erotic sense of this book is so compelling, that you root for them, and maybe at some point your heart will break just a little, but, you hope in the end it will be just like you want it end.

I leave you with this. Aryn and Caden are perfect together in every way. It just takes a lot of people to convince them, but in the end, does it work out? Will Caden let go of his past to see a future? And will Aryn finally realize that what he wants is not always what he needs? Read Aryn's Desire, I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Beck had some issues growing up, they left him feeling lonely, unwanted and to an extent unworthy.
While on tour with 69 Bottles he had a different woman every night, hit it an quit it, never giving them his name or number.
Now the tours over and he finds himself lost. He can't connect with anyone, trolling bars for a fling isn't working anymore. He's never been a man to want more, to want permanence and he believes that's still true, but he needs something different to get him back on track.
Enter Dex and Raine.
They invite him to a BDSM club with them, to give him a taste of something new, see if it may be what he needs.
Once there he comes to some serious realizations. While he likes control there's a reason behind it. Thinking he could walk in and learn to be a Dom was his first mistake, completely refusing to accept that he may be submissive was his second.
Master Caden loves a challenge and that's what he sees Beck as.
It's obvious to him that Beck is submissive, but Beck is straight, he loves women and that makes it all the more challenging for Caden.
Poor Beck, the guy goes through so much to learn who he is, what he needs and to come to terms with it. As much as his friends try to help him it's something he'll need to do on his own and his story takes you on and up and down roller coaster ride of self discovery.

As with all Zoey Derrick books, I loved it from beginning to end. Loved seeing some of the guys from 69 Bottles, I really enjoy new series that cross over from a previously adored series.

About the Author

Maxime Barbier

Maxime Barbier has recently finished his studies and is now a software engineer in Strasbourg, France. He loves programming crazy things and has been experimenting and sharing them with the open source community on GitHub since 2010. Also, he really likes game programming. As his favorite technology is C++, he has become an expert in it because of his work. He has also developed several libraries with this language, and some of them are used in this book. Game programming is his hobby, and he really likes the challenges involved in such a project. He also loves sharing his knowledge with other people, which was the main reason he wrote this book and also the reason for his activity in the open source community. Since 9 years, he has been working on different projects such as Anka Dreles, which is a pen and paper role-playing game, and is putting in effort to convert it into a computer game. He also loves sailing and was a sailing teacher for several years while studying. His dream is to be able to combine sailing and computer sciences by traveling around the world. Before starting with this book, Maxime had already reviewed some books, such as SFML Game Development and Getting Started with OUYA, both by Packt Publishing.

Initial Thoughts (Not a full review)

At the end of chapter 2, so my review does not reflect the work in it's entirety.. I will leave a full review once I have completed it.

Chapter 1 is all about Setting up your environment on whatever OS you choose(Windows, OSX or *nix) and it goes into presice detail on exactly how to set things up. At the end of chapter 1 you create "A minimal example" program to make sure that the library and your programming environment is set up properly. It shows a picture of the final result, shows the code in order to get this result, and then explains exactly what each part of code does. 5 Stars on Chapter 1.

Chapter 2 starts out explaining what the different parts of a game are, and what they are intended to do. You extract your minimal example into it's own "Game" class and break apart each functional piece of code into it's own function. The next part goes into explaining different game loops time-steps or update cycles. I think the Author does a good job explaining Why you would need each kind of type-step and how to implement them, in a very general/basic way.

Now we are in to user inputs and how the game will react to such things. At first, a 'minimal' example is given for handling Polled input and Real-Time input. Almost immediately, and with no clear reason or purpose You are instructed to create 2 new classes for handling real-time user input. The book fell apart for me here, and the code shown in the book does not match the code given in the code samples (eg. assignment operators are defined but never declared, namespace "book::" shows up out of nowhere (never mentioned) and causes errors, and the code does not compile at the end of the chapter.)

I'm going to give This "hickup" the bennefit of the doubt, and wait till I finish the book to write a full review. Please take this review with a grain of salt, and Note this is for the first Edition, PDF/Kindle copy from PacktPub, and these flaws may be corrected in future editions.

Loads of working projects to build but not for the C++ newcomer

Someone fairly new to C++ will find making the code samples into a working project quite tough. Although I would say it was not too tough.
For example the Asteroids, Tetris and real-time multi-player tower defence game were straight-forward enough to get playing.

The strength of this book is really in it's sheer variety of projects(blueprints). If you want a really convincing SFML patterns guide maybe research SFML Game Development. If you want to build multiple working games packed full of the different SFML module's functionality then I have to say this book was seriously fun.

Tetris with box2d is a hilarious but really useful project.

Fun and thorough!

The examples in this book are clear, well thought out, and (relatively) easy to follow. I would STRONGLY recommend a firm grasp on C++, as most of the examples could be hard to put together for a complete beginner.

The example games were a blast to put together, and they do a pretty good job of illustrating the various features of the SFML library.

Now, why this book should really be considered 3.5 stars and not a solid 4 - The authors should have hired an editor who can speak/write English competently. There are many typos and grammatical errors throughout the book, which detracts from the excellent job the authors did with the code. For example: "The is no member here, and the class can't be instantiate. [...] So here, only one collision test is describe that take two sf::Sprite as parameters. Take a look to the implementation." (pg 72) In addition, the code examples are spread out in a strange manner that makes it a bit difficult to read, and the typos do carry over to the code - so I would recommend you keep an eye on what you are actually typing.

If you want to have fun while learning some cool tricks with SFML, I'd highly recommend this book. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another book from the same author, even with the issues above, and will probably pick up the other SFML books soon.
