wrong access code

I don't know if i'm the only one who experienced this but I bought the book new because I needed the access code for my class. But when I registered on the website the access code that came with the book was for the wrong book. So not only did I waste money on a book I could've bought used but now I also need to buy a new access code because while I ordered a physics book the access code that came with it was for human biology. waste of money!!

I can't praise this book enough! While I wasn't a complete physics novice when I started this book, I was missing a lot of physics grounding. Art Hobson is a miracle of a teacher. The problem sets are very helpful, and half of them have answers in the back so that you can check your work. I found the problem sets to be critical to gaining real understanding of the material. I was actually disappointed when i finished the book--no more physics lessons to look forward to each day!

great alternative to the paperback

this book is a great alternative to the paper back book because there is no binding to bend on the brand new book. with this, you must buy a binder,but its still cheaper than the paperback. you may not be able to sell back to your school bookstore, so if thats your goal at the end, then i would check that with the school.

Another "Love It!!" for Hazel Kelly

This book was a quick read for me, simply because it was fast paced with lots of drama as the main characters work through their estrangement to a long awaited reconciliation. Hazel Kelly knows how to build the sexual tension, slower than I usually like, actually, but I don't mind with her books because it's hella fun getting there and when she decides it's time to bring on the heat...Look. Out! Falling for My Best Friend, the first book in the Fated series, has one of the best first lines ever: "Something told me this guy wasn't going to be up for a quick f***..." Got my attention! This book, however, wins the prize for Best Last Line -- but you'll have to read the book find out! I highly recommend that you do.

All of these books could have been put into one book and cut out some of the stupid moments and it would have been better as it stands now, I wish I had skipped it and found something better in one longer book versus 800 smaller sections ( that you pay just as much for)

You Won't Want To Miss This.........

In the book before this we ended on Aiden refusing to talk to Lucy because of the fact she kept that she found Chelsea on Tinder and didn't tell him about it. He is extremely hurt that the one person who he thought he could trust has let him down, even though Lucy had only his best interest at heart, he still wouldn't hear her out as for why she didn't say anything.

We start off in this book finding out that it's been almost a month since Aiden last spoke to Lucy and she honestly feels so lost because of how much she misses talking to him, so when she messages him to find out if he still wants her to go to his sister's wedding with him but when he replies with just a simple reply she still is hurt. One the day of the wedding whilst she is getting ready before Aiden comes to pick her up she can't help feeling nervous, because she knows that Aiden isn't exactly happy with her still. So when he does get to her apartment he is shocked at what she is wearing but he still can't seem to be himself because he is hurting badly, for most of the day he is pretty blunt with her but as soon as he sees his sister he can't help but start to soften.

When Lucy hears his speech about his sister after the wedding, she can't help but be mesmerised by him, she is finally starting to admit her feelings for him to herself and is honestly looking forward to making a go at things with him. After Aiden makes his speech he speaks to his dad for a little bit and is surprised with what he has to say about Lucy, but deep inside Aiden already knows that Lucy is the one girl for him, when he does go and find Lucy they sit down and have a small heart to heart but that is shortly ruined when Chelsea decides to crash the wedding. Aiden has no idea why she has came along but when he takes her to the side to get rid of her she is still determined to get back with him, he isn't exactly happy that she is hear and makes up an excuse about the fact that this is hard on him seeing her at his sister's wedding and that he needs time to get over her when in fact he is already in love with Lucy. However when Lucy goes to check on him the last thing she was expecting was for Aiden to tell Chelsea that him and Lucy are not together and that she is only at the wedding because of her being a friend of the families. After hearing this coming from Aiden Lucy immediately runs out and heads straight for her room at the hotel, she thinks that he doesn't care about her at all when really Aiden only said them things to get Chelsea to go away.

Will Aiden find Lucy and be able to explain that he didn't mean what he said or will it be too late. And what will Aiden think when the police arrive with Nathan to talk to Lucy, the only way you are going to know any of this is by reading this book and remember if you are enjoying this series then there is only one book left in this series. I honestly love this book and am enjoying every minute of it.

A little "guide" that WORKS (if you let it)

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! About 11 years ago a series of events took place that left me emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically drained. I literally felt like things were hopeless. Then I got the paperback version of this book...and I mean it when I say it helped change my daily life.
I followed the author's suggestions (I was willing to try anything): I held the book in my two hands, held the problem or dilemma in my mind, meditated a bit on it, let my mind (and body) be still...then closed my eyes, made my request in a question form...and opened the book. I would always open it and only look at the page that I "felt" I was being led to by one of my fingers.
Most of the time I was amazed: the quotation on the page TRULY referred to my problem and gave me some insight. And I (more often than not) acted on it. Once in a while I'd get an answer that didn't seem like an answer, so I'd reframe the question and start the process again.
Years later I gifted this book to someone in trouble. And I truly missed not having it. Then, last month, I bought it AGAIN...this time in hardcover.
I STRONGLY recommend this book. Even if you read it from cover to cover (which is not really how it is designed to be used) you'd gain a wealth of insight, since the quotations -- from yogis, to Eileen Cassidy, to the Bible, to Walt Whitman -- are the BEST to help steer your thinking (and some say guide your intuition) towards helpful, often healing solutions.
This is a small but potent book. Great to read. Great to use as a little voice that will answer your questions as you randomly turn to a page after a bit of meditation. And, most of all, GREAT to GIFT to friends, family or someone who's facing some difficult challenges. Once you use this book you'll never want to be without it.

The 'getting of wisdom' from some wise souls!

A few years ago my husband and I separated and later that same year I lost my best friend (my mother) to cancer. Not long after, I was given this book and I have kept it next to my bed ever since. It is a wonderful compulation of wise words that have given me strength, peace, acceptance and the understanding of inner wisdom that we all have, if we care to look. Enlighten yourself and others and enjoy the wonderful insights of this book of Wisdom! 'Seek always for the answer within'

Ms. Hayward's book has been a part of my life for more than 15 years. I recently purchased the updated version for a friend of mine. To achieve the best that this book offers, one must truly let go to the insight & experience that its text provides. If you are prepared to let go a little, and to learn even a little more, you will appreciate the peace you can receive from this volume.

A novel of corporate and self discovery

I found this a difficult book to review. Not because it's not good, it is. But, it's different and that's what I liked about Defying Gravity.

Defying Gravity is a novel. It's the story of Tony, the "corporate entrepreneur" as he parents a new venture from inception (or conception) to birth. It's also a guide on how to develop the skills and strategies needed to become a successful corporate entrepreneur.

The authors have done a great job of writing a novel that keeps the reader riveted throughout and at the same time, provides a good learning vehicle. This concept has been used before. However, this is one of the best examples I've seen.

To define, refine, categorise and summarise (make sure we get the key points!), the authors provide a 3/4 page summary of tips and suggestions following major chunks of Tony's journey. This is where the management models and theories Tony is using (or not using) are pr�cised and explained.

If you enjoy novels about personal self-discovery, this book is for you. If you are looking for clues on developing as a corporate entrepreneur, this book is also for you. Either way, Defying Gravity is a good read.
