About the Author
Paul Bradt has a BS in Computer Science. He currently works as a contractor developing various computer program types, especially video games. He has experimented with the Arduino system and believes it to be an excellent tool for developing an understanding of how electronic components and hardware interact in integrated systems, and it is useful as a teaching aid in learning the basics of computer programming. He likes to perform sophisticated troubleshooting of computer problems and has found that the on-line resources associated with Arduino can be a great help for novice users to get their experiments operating quickly and effectively. David Bradt has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and many years of experience in basic heat transfer. Examples include aerospace hardware heat transfer systems and component testing for high reliability mechanical industrial equipment at -40 degrees to 120 degrees F. He also provided assistance on the development and completion of over 30 science fair projects from grade school to high school levels. Two of those projects went all the way to the State level competitions, both of which had aspects of heat transfer associated with them. He now focuses on risk and reliability of complex systems.

This book is an excellent reference and very clearly explains how to set-up and conduct multiple experiments using the arduino data acquisition system. Also, included are very helpful examples of code. I would highly recommend this book for anyone interested in heat transfer or science fair projects.
